Big Bear's Outside Edge Hockey Tournament Concludes with Thrilling Matches in Oxford, Ohio 

The Big Bear's Outside Edge hockey tournament, held at Miami University from December 13-15, 2024, showcased an exciting array of youth hockey talent across multiple divisions. Teams from various regions competed, delivering memorable performances and thrilling finishes. 

12U Polar Gold: The Kirkwood Stars dominated the 12U Polar division, scoring four goals in the first period and securing a victory over the Smoky Mountain Wild, highlighting their exceptional skill and teamwork. 

12U Polar Silver Division: The 12U Polar Silver final was a nail-biter, featuring a tense showdown between the Glass City Gladiators and the Dayton Icehounds. Both teams scored one goal deep into the second period, but the Gladiators clinched the championship with a dramatic second goal just under a minute before the period ended. They held their lead through the third period to earn the title. 

12U Grizzly Division: In a fast-paced game, the Huntsville Chargers opened the scoring, but the Columbus Blue Jackets responded with multiple goals. The Blue Jackets' offensive prowess led them to a 7-3 victory, keeping the championship banner in Ohio. 

14U Grizzly Gold Division: The 14U Grizzly Gold final saw the Northwest Chargers face off against the Honeybaked Hockey Club. Honeybaked took an early lead and maintained their advantage throughout the game, securing the championship. 

14U Grizzly Silver Division: The Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones started strong in the 14U Grizzly Silver division, scoring three unanswered goals. Despite a determined comeback by the Chesterfield Falcons in the second period, the Cyclones held on to their lead winning the championship 

The Big Bear's Outside Edge tournament once again provided an excellent platform for young hockey players to display their skills and passion for the game. Congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.
